Surrounded by Dorset’s picturesque countryside, Our Campsite provides the ideal opportunity to unwind and escape from the stresses and strains of modern life.

Nestled under the hills of the historic Saxon hill top town of Shaftesbury, there’s plenty of space to relax, walk and Play. Traditional country pubs and contemporary restaurants within easy reach. This idyllic combination of boutique accommodation, peace, tranquillity and hidden gems creates the perfect escape, ideal for family breaks, romantic breaks or for catching up with good friends.

Our Campsite at Blackmore Vale Leisure is an ideal base from which to explore some of the country’s most famous landmarks; Stonehenge, Gold Hill in Shaftesbury (from the Hovis advert), Longleat Safari Park, Stour Head and King Alfred’s Tower, Salisbury medieval Cathedral City are all close by, Monkey World and the Dorset world heritage Jurassic coast all within an hour’s reach.

There are some super country pubs and restaurants near by and Shaftesbury is only 2 miles away and we even have local business partnerships with some attractions, service providers and restaurants who offer our guests discounts.

Shaftesbury is our local town, which is brimming with history and well worth a visit. Shaftesbury’s History has been the inspiration for the names of our Lodges. There is evidence in the local area of settlements from as early as 2000BC and more modern history where Gold hill was filmed for the famous Hovis advert by Ridley Scott in 1973, why not visit the official Shaftesbury website to start planning your days out?

We recommend a visit to the Jurassic coast, maybe Lulworth cove or the stunning golden beaches of Weymouth where the old seaside traditions such as Punch and Judy and Donkey rides on the beach, blend with the modern hustle of delicious restaurants and the Sea life centre.

Longleat Safari park offers an exciting day out for all the family.
