Hirer must be over 21. We do not accept single sex groups without prior arrangement or hen and stag parties. There is an eight week minimum hire period.
Check In / Out
The hire period normally commences at 3pm daily and terminates at 10am on the agreed day for checkout. Earlier check in times may be arranged depending upon availability.
Please make a note on booking for any special requests and we will do our best to accommodate your needs where possible, in the event we are unable to do so we let you know upon processing your booking request or as soon as possible.
Not all of our accommodation is suitable for dogs; please advise us at point of booking so we allocate you a pet friendly Holiday Home or Lodge.
We do ask guests to ensure that dogs are not allowed on any seating or bedding.
Damage to upholstery or any other part of the Holiday Home or Lodge will result in a charge for repair.
£500 deposit is required upon booking; balance is due 6 weeks before commencement of hire. Or for longer term bookings as agreed in advance.
If the booking takes place less than 8 weeks before commencement of hire, full payment will be required.
In the event of damage I also agree to compensate Blackmore Vale Leisure appropriate amount to cover repairs.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to insure the caravan for damage or loss.
Please note the customer needs to discuss with Blackmore Vale Leisure the access size to ensure that the caravan will fit in the desired location – if the caravan arrives and does not go in the cost for delivery and collection will be the responsibility of the hirer.
No Smoking laws
It is now an offence for the Hirer to smoke, or allow anyone to smoke, in any of our Holiday Homes or Lodges and the signs displayed in each Holiday Home or Lodge make this clear. The Company has an obligation to all clients to maintain the caravan smoke-free and therefore, should the Hirer return a Holiday home or Lodge in which smoking has occurred
This will result in a deep clean/valet charge paid to cover the costs of taking the caravan out of service for fumigation or cleaning a minimum of £50.
It is the hirer’s responsibility to check regularly the Co2 and Smoke alarms, including batteries and replacing units where required.
For Static caravans – Gas and electrical inspections must be completed by a qualified engineer, once sited, before use. This is the responsibility of the hirer. It must be completed at least once annually. We do not plumb in or site static caravans or provide steps. Gas is not provided.
For touring caravans one gas bottle is provided for getting started – it is the responsibility that this is replaced and returned by the hirer and they are responsible for purchasing their own gas for use.
We reserved the right to check our property, at a mutually agreed time as frequently as fortnightly.
Rent should be paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly as arranged at the commencement of hire and always in advance.
Notice can be given for termination at any time with 30 days notice or immediately if the terms and conditions have not been adhered to by the hirer.
Breakdowns & Accidents
In the event of a break down or accident the hirer is responsible informing the company.
The company will endeavour to make repairs within a reasonable timescale or offer alternative accommodation on site if available.
The Company accepts no liability for alternative accommodation charges or other claims arising from breakdown, accident or other causes.
All accidents should be reported immediately by telephone to (01747) 851497 or in person at the company office urgently. A completed Accident Report Form must be completed as soon as possible.
Limitations, Liabilities and Cancellations
- Smoking is not permitted in the accommodation
- The use of candles or fireworks is not permitted
- The hirer must not lend or hire to a third party
- Use the accommodation for dangerous, offensive, noisy, illegal or immoral activities or any act which may be deemed as such.
The Company reserves the right to:-
- Refuse a hire to any individual who is reasonably considered unsuitable to undertake the hire. In such circumstances the intended Hirer shall be entitled to request a refund of monies paid, which will not be unreasonably withheld by the Company.
- Inspect accommodation with reasonable notice, except in an emergency when immediate access must be granted
- Evict (without refund or compensation) if it is deemed necessary that by the company in the event of a serious breach of conditions, complaints received from other guests, residents or staff or if the hirer or one of his or her party endangers the safety of others.
As we are always improving our hire fleet please note that Holiday Homes and Lodge specifications, design, layouts and images used are as examples only and may differ from those supplied.
Should the Hirer cancel the booking, the Company will endeavour to re-let the vehicle and, if successful, the amount paid will be refunded less an administration charge. If the Company is unable to do so, the Hirer will be liable to pay the administration charge plus costs on a scale proportionate to the length of time before the hire commences, as set out below :-
Exceeding 56 days from hire date 40% of Hire fee
Between 55 days and 42 days 60% of Hire fee
Between 41 days and 28 days 80% of Hire fee
Less than 28 days from hire date Loss of Hire fee
Hirers are advised to obtain their own insurance cover to safeguard against such losses.
Blackmore Vale Leisure Ltd neither insure nor accept liability for any accident, incident, damage or loss to property or persons including third party liability in connection with the hire of any caravan, static or Lodge.
