We have recently bought a second-hand caravan through Blackmore Vale Leisure and we are absolutely delighted with the service we have received. We were able to stay in our caravan at the site adjacent to the sales area before our caravan was delivered in order that Liam their friendly technician was able to go through all the workings of the caravan with us (things have changed since our last caravan was produced 35 years ago!). We were able to inspect the caravan fully during our 2 night stay and any small issues were raised and corrected before it was delivered to us. We have a very small driveway to negotiate and when the caravan was delivered by their superstar Paul he was able to show us how to expertly use the motor mover to place the caravan correctly on our drive – massive thanks to him. He even upgraded our tow ball for us on the day of delivery. Every call to the sales team has been a lovely friendly experience. We recommend without hesitation.

Travelled 2.5 hours from Cornwall to Shaftesbury to view a caravan we’d seen online. Friendly welcome and made to feel very wanted and valued.

It was just what we wanted too, so we bought it there and then!

Collected it this weekend (March). All the little issues we’d come across on viewing day were sorted and it was set up on one of their 2 pitches (2 nights free included if required) ready for us to play/learn. Tuition also given on everything from hitching up, filling the toilet/water system, heating, etc., etc.

We had a couple more niggles on site but everything was sorted out in the most efficient and friendly manner we’d ever encountered.

We would highly recommend BMV and their friendly team.

I purchased a T@b 400 from Blackmore Vale Leisure and the whole process went superbly. There were some complexities to overcome for me – such as what towing car was going to work etc., but the whole process was made straight forward by Leanna and Paul. I upgraded various aspects and included a large solar panel so I could go ‘off-grid’ a bit.

At every step of the way, when I had questions, they were always answered efficiently and clearly by both Leanna and Paul – sometimes even at the weekend!

At the point of the purchase, I was able to stay on their lovely caravan site for a couple of nights (something they generally offer), so that one can ‘learn the ropes’. This is a really good idea on their part – making sure their customers are happy and sufficiently knowledgeable about how to deal with the caravan practicalities.

The T@b itself is amazing. I love it – it is comfortable and seems well-designed and built. There’s nothing like the German quality as they say. Towing it is fine, although I don’t have anything else to compare it with as I’d never towed before. But it seems straight forward especially after Paul’s excellent instructions.

Anyone thinking of purchasing one of these wonderful caravans, don’t hesitate. Get cracking – they are wonderful and Blackmore Vale leisure are so helpful.

Previous outstanding service in 2015 meant I could fully understand how BMV Caravans won a Customer Service award in 2018. Our recent dealings and subsequent purchase have demonstrated how the business has somehow managed to improve even further.
Whilst Catherine has moved deservedly onwards and upwards she still imparted the front of house assistance we enjoyed so much with the 2015 purchase when absence dictated a need and indeed that personal historic contact proved comforting, again honest and not sales oppressive at all. Is she irreplaceable, well yes in many ways especially as her tutorage and guidance of Simone as her sales replacement position is testament to her personality and invaluable skill set.
Simone, around her holiday, maintained the contact we have come to enjoy from BMV. Keeping us plied with coffee, information and assurance of progress, in a manner other dealerships, where no business loyalty exists, still cannot match BMV; you should be proud of her and Catherine despite my being a “different” (maybe difficult) and demanding customer. No doubt she had dealt with some characters in her previous life and was merely toying with us but she was efficient, proficient and fun to deal with. Nothing was too onerous and she continually assuaged and delivered.
The backroom team led by Peter similarly continues to provide a wealth of experience and immense skill. It was a pleasure probing and picking his brains over engineering principles and his knowledge of the caravan art is infinite. Again, for the customer his approach must be so valuable be they experienced caravaners or novices. He came up trumps as usual during handover and his opinions were valued pre commitment and agreement to the sale. That input I believe must be capitalised and his skills and knowledge will swing and doubters with ease.
Your own assistance was similarly valued and the hands on trial etc and easy communication/ way in which we completed proved the rationale for maintaining our relationship with BMV, thanks.
You remain a genuine “Family” business providing an excellent service and backup, we will meet again in the future.

Dear Darryl, I am writing simply to thank you for the superb service you provided for my visit to the first week of New Wine. On my arrival I found the caravan already set up in the right place, with a clearly displayed notice in the window with my name on it.  I was impressed with the layout of the caravan, especially the excellent spacious bathroom and the fact that it was all very clean. I contacted you by phone and your representative soon came and explained how everything worked.  The fridge and hot water system were easy to operate and amazingly efficient. Without further prompting from me your representative came mid week to check that all was OK, which it was. On the last day your man came at the agreed time. I was just finishing cleaning up and he told me not to worry, he would see to it. All of this was in stark contrast to friends in the neighbouring hired caravan who had to cope on their own with blocked toilet, fridge not working, water pump malfunction etc.. I would not hesitate to use you again or to recommend your company to anyone.  If my friends go again next year you may well hear from them. Best regards

‘Just four weeks ago we popped up to Blackmore Vale caravans for a nose around, we went with our daughter and Son in Law … they had been in before and had commented how helpful they were and what nice caravans were on display. We sold our last caravan in Spring 2013 and have been ‘old hold’ since our grandchildren arrived. Straight away we were impressed, very clean and well looked after second hand stock and extremely friendly and knowledgable staff.
24 hours later we had committed to buying an immaculate 2006 Sterling Europa (it looks virtually brand new and feels it too) and our daughter and son in law bought a 2012 Lunar Venus. We are needy customers’ and had a lot of queries – each and every one answered quickly and when we asked to start delivering in early the mountain of stuff needed for the 2 van’s and their youngest occupants (aged 2 1/2 and 5 months) to the vans nothing was too much trouble.
For the first time ever we took advantage of a handover and stay option … I would recommend this to anyone now matter how seasoned you are!They even managed to get us a stunning weekend weather-wise ! Sadly we couldn’t take our caravan home as the factory fitted Westfalia tow hitch wouldn’t accept the Alko hitch (something else that the guys had cleverly pointed out) … but that was no trouble, they stored our van until our son-in-law could collect it for us. As seasoned motorhome and caravan owners I’d like to say that NO dealer has ever impressed us so much – we do not have any hesitation in recommending them and when time comes to upsize we won’t go anywhere else.
If only our car dealership was as capable and helpful !!

I am a single parent with two boys one with a learning difficulty and the other with a physical one. We have been to New Wine for the last four years and we have stayed in some pretty inadequate caravans and I was so nervous for that to be repeated again, but I can honestly say it was worth every penny. My boys felt safe and comfortable, we all slept so well and the caravan was just so beautiful, spacious and clean. My 7 year old was over the moon when he saw it and still talks about it now. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to give us a lovely holiday

Hi Catherine,  Me again!  No problems to report!  it’s just to say that we are over the moon with our caravan.  We nominally like new but circumstances dictated this was not possible at present, so we were a little dubious about a second hand caravan, however the condition of the sirocco you sold us for its age was excellent.  That leads me on to the sales experience with Black Moor Vale Leisure and directly yourself.  On the first viewing of our van it was a fowl day and the fact you had made the effort to ensure the van had power and was warm with coffee and biscuits provided and the very low sales pressure made us feel welcomed and very relaxed, giving us time to ensure we made the correct decision for us.After deciding this was the van for us we then took you up on your offer to stay overnight to ensure we knew how to work everything and iron out any problems so we wouldn’t have to drag it all the way back and also just to have a night out.  What a brilliant service even though it was another horrible night. We then had Pete show us around the van and all I can say is how we were very impressed with his knowledge and can do attitude, he even stayed long after his work day on Friday had finished to sort out some small issues. He also made us feel very comfortable in his presence and made the experience very enjoyable. So a big thank you to yourself for always getting back to me so promptly all over the new year and providing such a professional service. The Caravan you sold me has become a indispensable part of my project and since I bought it the flexibility it gives me has improved the quality of my work as quite literally I can sleep on top of a shot and wait for the best light.

Having fitted a new pump inside the caravan myself and recently having called Peter for advice as to how to dis-asemble the inlet valve I just wanted to say how much I appreciate his support on matters like that. His patience and clarity of explanation were great and the fact I managed to fix it first time around was a real comfort as techie problems in remote areas are a bit of a drag so just would be grateful if you could pass on my compliments to him and thank him for his time and effort on my behalf.
